Congratulations to ex-Stag and current Northampton Saints player George Furbank who has been named in the England XV for Sunday's game against France in Paris.
George started his rugby career at Stags, progressing through the mini & junior sections, coached by Mike Francis, before going on to join Northampton Saints via Bedford School. His father Tim captained the first XV throughout arguably the most successful period in the club's history, winnin back to back promotions. He has subsequently served the club both as Chairman and President in recent history.
The whole club is delighted with this morning's team announcement, and send our heartiest congratulations to George and the whole Furbank family.
The club will be open on Sunday afternoon for the game (1500hrs KO), so please come and join us for what is sure to be a special day in Huntingdon & District RUFC's history!
